Lunch & Tour of The Salthouse Harbour Hotel
Ipswich Suffolk Business Club is delighted to invite members to an exclusive visit to The Salthouse Harbour Hotel - one of Ipswich’s landmark waterfront destinations - shortly after its official reopening and as part of an exciting period of transformation.
The Salthouse Harbour Hotel has a rich history as a boutique hospitality venue on Ipswich’s waterfront, blending the heritage of its converted salt warehouse building with contemporary design and waterside dining. Currently undergoing a major £2 million investment programme, the hotel is repositioning itself for the future with enhancements to its public spaces and guest experience. The full development (part of the hotel’s 60th anniversary “60 Years Bold” project) includes a redesigned ground-floor restaurant and bar, a luxury marina-view wet spa with saunas and relaxation spaces, and a unique floating sauna boat experience launched on the harbour, all set to open through spring 2026.
Guests will enjoy an arrival drink followed by a three-course lunch featuring the signature dishes that define the new concept of the Salthouse as a Great British Brasserie, offering a taste of the menu at the heart of the Salthouse’s transformation. After lunch, guests will enjoy a guided tour of the hotel in smaller groups, providing insight into the transformation of the Salthouse, the vision for its future, and the wider Gough Hotels portfolio.
The event includes:
- Arrival drink and welcome with an introduction to the hotel’s history and vision
- Guided show-round of key hotel spaces including the bedrooms and an overview of the restaurant design and concept
- Insight into the wider investment and transformation project, with time to engage in discussion
- Three-course lunch in the brasserie restaurant overlooking the marina
- Networking with fellow members in a stunning waterfront setting
This event offers a rare opportunity to learn about one of Ipswich’s most talked-about hospitality developments and to engage with the team shaping its future.
This event is part of your ISBC membership, with no additional charge. Members are welcome to bring guests for a charge of £45 per head.
