Lunch With Brandon Lewis MP

Brandon Lewis was appointed Chairman of the Conservative Party in January 2018 and since 2010 has been the Conservative MP for Great Yarmouth. His political interests include business and transport, tourism and coastal erosion.

He is a qualified barrister and a company director and before joining the government, was an active member of several all-party parliamentary groups, including those for enterprise zones and local growth.

Before becoming an MP Brandon worked in business and spent many years in local government including as Leader of Brentwood Borough Council.

He has held a number of positions in government, including Minister of State for Housing and Planning. In 2016, he became Minister for Policing and the Fire Service, before being promoted to Immigration Minister in 2017. He joined the Privy Council in 2016.

Toby Kramers

Committee Chair

Toby was brought up in Suffolk and, after a brief spell at University and working in London, returned to Ipswich to work in a legal practice in Ipswich in the 1990s where he has worked ever since as a solicitor specialising in Commercial Property.

Outside of work, Toby enjoys politics (he was Chairman of and remains involved in the South Suffolk Conservative Association), singing (he has performed with the Essex University Choir) and country sports. He is involved in a number of local charities.
