An Evening With Prof. Helen Langton

Please join us at the Birketts office in Ipswich for this exclusive evening event with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Suffolk Professor Helen Langton, as she discusses her role within education.

Professor Helen Langton joined the University of Suffolk from the University of South Wales where she was Deputy Vice-Chancellor and a Professor in Children’s Cancer Nursing Education. Helen has held many senior posts in universities in the UK and has a range of experience across health and social care, science, social science and education.

Helen has been a member of many national boards and bodies including with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Department of Health and the Quality Assurance Agency. Helen is Chair of Governors at an independent school, member of the UK Health Education Advisory Committee for the Office for Students and Research England.

Internationally Helen is a board member for the Academy of Health Care Improvement, and a board member for the De Souza Nursing Institute in Toronto, Canada and an Editor of the International Journal of Child Health Care.

Birketts have partnered with the club to offer this exclusive evening event offering drinks and canapes and a chance to hear from Professor Helen Langton.

Toby Kramers

Committee Chair

Toby was brought up in Suffolk and, after a brief spell at University and working in London, returned to Ipswich to work in a legal practice in Ipswich in the 1990s where he has worked ever since as a solicitor specialising in Commercial Property.

Outside of work, Toby enjoys politics (he was Chairman of and remains involved in the South Suffolk Conservative Association), singing (he has performed with the Essex University Choir) and country sports. He is involved in a number of local charities.
