Lunch with Richard Vass

Richard Vass is a British entrepreneur who founded Burland Technology Solutions in 1993, a global company that specialises in power distribution products and solutions. His company created a simple patented device which revolutionised the way electrical services were delivered to office workstations around the time of the “IT Revolution”.

The company is a recipient of three Queens Awards for Export, Innovation and Sustainability and the most recent being a King’s Award for Export. Burland is a Certified B Corporation which demonstrates positive social and environmental impact throughout the local community.

Richard established an Employee Ownership Trust in July 2024 so Burland Technology Solutions is now an employee owned company.

He has always maintained a keen eye on export opportunities and since 1995 has travelled extensively in the Middle East, Far East, India and the USA. His company consistently sees exports at 45-60% of total revenues.
