Message From The Chair

Dear all,

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to get back to seeing friends, colleagues, clients, peers, competitors and, frankly the whole business community, more. Zoom is great, but it is that sense of being part of a tangible community that makes doing business in a place like Suffolk so special, and it’s one of the things that I’ve missed most over the last few months.

Another thing I absolutely love about our business club is the opportunity to discuss current affairs and share ideas, sometimes pretty radical ones, with fellow members. The chance to take the temperature on what the real business community, our members who are the real entrepreneurs, business owners, and directors, in our town and the wider county, are really feeling.

The recent easing of restrictions has to be good news and means that we are able to awaken the Club from its induced coma four months, to the day, after that Sunday evening when the Prime Minister took the unprecedented peace-time step of locking the country down.

We have our first informal event for members-only at the end of August to welcome everyone back and we look forward to seeing some of you then.

We are then hoping to start reorganising some of our other, previously planned, events before the end of the year.

So there is every intention for the Club to return, in full force and full voice, as the place for our great town and county’s entrepreneurs and business leaders to freely exchange ideas. I hope to see you soon.

With regards,

Luke
