Suffolk business leaders receive words of inspiration from award-winning coach, Ben Coomber

The Ipswich and Suffolk Business Club kicked off 2023’s calendar of events with an evening of networking and a talk by best-selling author, coach & business owner, Ben Coomber

Ben, through his ‘AWESOME’ brand, helps people achieve their full potential through his 11-step process.

Ben is an author, coach, nutritionist, podcaster, and public speaker, the latter of which has seen him deliver his signature ‘How to be AWESOME’ talk for HSBC, Sky TV, the NHS, and M&S.

Commenting on how businesses can make the most of the start of the year, Ben said: “I can only speak from my own business perspective and experience but, in these points of the year, focus is ever more important.”

“I think when hard times hit, that focus can push you to make your best business decisions because you’re forced to really look at the balance sheet, resources, efficiencies, performances, and reviewing of those crucial elements should really help with overall business and people performance. Many of these decisions will be hard, but you’re likely to thank yourself a couple of months down the line when you’re running leaner, more efficiently, and everyone has pulled around the mission of your business like never before”.

Following his talk, Ben opened questions to the floor where he answered further business queries on inspiring remote employees and helping those that are resilient to change but also with health-related matters like our relationship with sleep, alcohol, and caffeine and how they all have a huge impact on personal performance – which is what all businesses must focus on in times like this, people performance, as after all, people are the most important asset in any business

Ben’s most recent book, How To Live An Awesome Life: The 11 Step Formula for Fulfilment and Success, was a number one best-seller on the day of launch and aims to provide inspiring and actionable steps to help people live a fitter, happier and more successful life and ultimately, feel fulfilled in all that they do.

Toby Kramers, Chair of Ipswich Suffolk Business Club (ISBC), said: “Having Ben as our speaker tonight was the perfect means to get 2023 underway, with his insights into personal and business inspiration at what can be a challenging part of the year.

“Ben’s speech and the great evening marks just the start of a fantastic calendar of guests and events lined up this year and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming members, both long-standing and new throughout.”

The event was hosted at Ufford Park in Woodbridge and sponsored by leading PR and digital agency PLMR Genesis.
